White Horse Associates, Inc. has two full time employees and several

Sherman Jensen
(Soil Scientist/Landscape Ecologist/Riparian-Wetland Ecologist/Mapper):
Mr. Jensen
is founder and president of White Horse Associates, Inc. He has two degrees in Soil Science from Utah
State University and over 25 years experience, much of which is specific to wetland,
riparian and stream habitats in the western United States. Sherman developed an approach to
classification and assessment of
riverine/riparian habitat that has been applied extensively in the western
United States and is
certified by the Corps to delineate wetlands. He loves to map.

Ted Dean
(Geographer/GIS Specialist): Mr. Dean
has a degree in Geography from Utah
State University where he specialized in GIS applications. He has 18 years
experience applying GIS to environmental research, surveys and
consulting. He has been employed by White Horse Associates since 1987.

Ron Ryel
(Systems Ecologist/Statistician/Modeler/Wildlife Biologist): Dr. Ryel has
degrees from Michigan State University, Utah State University and University
of Würzburg, Germany. He has a rare combination of modeling
skill and understanding of ecological processes. He has served as a consultant to White Horse Associates since 1985.

Frank (Buddy) Smith
(Botanist): Mr. Smith has a degree in Botany from Utah State University
and 30 years experience. He has discovered several new plants.
Buddy has served as a consultant to White Horse Associates since it's
inception in 1981.
